A Love Story: Are You Faced With an Opportunity or a Roadblock?

This article is from my MONTHLY LOVE LETTER where I share my experiences and ideas around taking a slower, more natural approach to taking intentional action, prioritizing our energy, embodying values, experimenting with new ways of working, and upgrading our mindset.
And who knows what else!

When was the last time that you felt things just weren’t going your way?

This month has felt like a beautiful whirlwind of starting new things and stopping others.

In the last week of February, I completed a 40-day Subagh Kriya Kundalini yoga practice to evoke the wealth of the universe. I honestly cannot remember the last thing I would have shown up for consistently for 40 days straight.

Perhaps this was my first time ever. But seeing this Kriya to completion has done much more for me than breaking the negative money stories that have been blocking me from receiving more money in my business.

It has shown me that if I believe in something enough, even if I cannot see it, it is more than possible for me to show up for myself. And that it can be as easy as an 18-minute-a-day practice.

I made even more space for clients this month and I saw my calendar fill up faster than ever before [you can also book a private session with me]. It’s something I only dreamed of a year ago, and here I am working while also travelling with friends to new places.

P.S. If you have never been to San Francisco, it is on my ‘highly recommend’ list!

But one thing that I let slip this month was hydrating adequately, which is even more important when your current home base is in the middle of the desert. I think this first photo of me holding my fancy boxed airplane water must have been a sign from the universe telling me what I needed more of before my body had to because there’s nothing that will stop you right in your tracks quite like a kidney stone.

One of my mentors shared with me that in Chinese medicine, the kidney is traditionally understood to govern other body fluids (including tears, saliva, perspiration and the fluids that lubricate the joints). It’s also closely associated with a healthy transition through each of life’s stages, from early adulthood right through the ageing process.

With the primary reminder to take better care of myself and hydrate better, the sharing of this wisdom from this mentor also reminded me to continue to acknowledge the huge transformation I’m still going through. It reminded me that there are so many possibilities ahead of me and that I can continue to notice new areas of transformation in my life as opportunities to grow rather than as roadblocks.

It reminded me that perhaps the universe has something even better in store for me if I continue to make ‘feeling good’ a priority.

I encourage you to sit with this question…

What would be possible for you if you chose to see something that feels like a roadblock as an opportunity for transformation instead?

Lots of love,

💕 Lauren
